Hey all. So, yes it's been forever. Alright, now that's over with.
Jen and I have been preparing madly for the arrival of das bambino. He's in great shape, and my bigger bambino, Jennifer (aka Mamacita), is doing great too. Except for her sciatic nerve, everything is doing great. She has some pain bending over and picking up things, and the occasional jolt of pain that feels like a knife stab through her left leg, but other than that, nothing too bad.
One thing I noticed. When you do the baby laundry, the fuzz left in the dryer vent is the softest stuff you can imagine. It's like little baby geese down. Super soft. Plus, I like the smell of the detergent we use for the baby clothes. It's called Dreft, and it smells pretty good. Okay, this might be weird, but I think it smells like a new hotel. Specifically, the Red Lion Inn in Boise Idaho, when I was 10 years old. They had a pool. It was nice. So that's a comfort for my baby.
Guitarwise, I've been moved into the Jazz band, and the rock band with horns, known as Final Approach. It's a welcome change. The rock band I was in, Pacific Trends, worked a lot. Now, that's not neccesarily a bad thing, but I would love to have a bit of a break, especially since Jen's due on the 26th of October, and now I'll be able to "catch" the baby because I'm in another band that's a little more flexible. I look forward to playing with these "jazzers" and getting my butt kicked with each rehearsal until I can play a ii V I progression correctly. Should be good!
That's all for now. See you in a year!
